We in the Gaming Community have encountered a common enemy. This enemy makes us don't even want to buy the new consoles or collectors edition of a game. I'm not talking about the Gaming Publishers. I am talking about Scalpers. For those who don't know what a Scalper is, they are foul creatures who will buy high-demand products using Bots and resell them for outrageous prices to make a profit. Is it fair to us? I think not this deplorable act can make us very frustrated. Furthermore, in several states scalping is illegal, so why not all states? In my opinion, we need a solution for every state and country.
I also feel like Retailers should be held accountable. For those asking why? Here is my reason. When you think about it, what actions have been taken? So far not a lot has been done. Retailers only care about one thing, money. As long as they are making sales goals they don't care. Currently, I'm attempting to pre-order Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Collector's Edition. A retailer is sending notifications that the item is in stock, and I think you can guess the rest of the story. Aggravated, I reached out to support and received the most bs response I have heard. This goes to show you the lack of attention to this matter. I bet if Retailers received a $1K fine for each transaction a Scalper makes. We wouldn't even be having this discussion.
Overall please make your voice be known and let us make a change.
